Quincy Jones, the legendary musician and producer renowned for his collaborations with icons like Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra, has passed away at the age of 91. His publicist, Arnold Robinson, confirmed that Jones "passed away peacefully" on Sunday night at his home in Bel Air. In a heartfelt statement, Jones' family shared, "Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we must share the news of our father and brother Quincy Jones’ passing. Although this is an incredible loss for our family, we celebrate the great life that he lived and know there will never be another like him." Jones was best known as the producer behind Michael Jackson's groundbreaking *Thriller* album, which remains one of the best-selling albums of all time. Over a remarkable career spanning more than 75 years, he won 28 Grammy Awards and was recognized by *Time* magazine as one of the most influential jazz musicians of the 20th century.

Early in his career, Jones worked closely with Frank Sinatra, famously reworking "Fly Me to the Moon" into a swing version. He produced Jackson’s albums *Off the Wall*, *Thriller*, and *Bad*, further solidifying his impact on pop music. In 1985, Jones co-wrote "We Are the World," uniting 46 top artists, including Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, and Tina Turner, to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia. The song became a cultural phenomenon, achieving number-one status in both the US and the UK.

Jones also made significant contributions to film and television, producing the acclaimed movie *The Color Purple*, which featured emerging talents Oprah Winfrey and Whoopi Goldberg. He was a producer on the beloved TV series *The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air* and composed soundtracks for over 50 films and TV programs. Married three times, Jones leaves behind seven children, including music producer Quincy Jones III and actress Rashida Jones. His family described him as "truly one of a kind," affirming that "through his music and his boundless love, Quincy Jones' heart will beat for eternity." Tributes have poured in, with playwright Jeremy O'Harris highlighting Jones' limitless contributions to American culture and singer Darius Rucker mourning the loss of "one of the all-time greats."
