David Moyes delivers Ruben Amorim's verdict and admits Manchester United have 'lost their tradition'.
Former Manchester United manager David Moyes has given his opinion on the recruitment of incoming Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim, admitting that the club have 'lost their class'.

David Moyes has condemned his former club Manchester United, claiming that they have lost their tradition and class by sacking managers prematurely.

As Erik ten Hag departs, the door swings open for a new boss, with Ruben Amorim quickly taking over the reins at Old Trafford, bringing with him a change in tactics and mentality.
However, the 39-year-old will become not only the club's youngest manager, but also the sixth since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013, just 11 years ago.

According to Moyes, the constant chopping and changing in the dugout, which has yielded little fruit by United's lofty standards, has tainted what was once a club with impeccable tradition and values.

"Manchester United had incredible traditions." They brought in their own young players and did not sack managers," Moyes said on Sky Bet's Stick to Football podcast.

"When Sir Alex Ferguson was not performing well, they did not do it. They stood for something admirable: that this club means a little more - that bit of class that had faded at the time [when I was there]."

Since Ferguson's departure, Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Ten Hag have all taken permanent charge, but few have tasted success - or were given the opportunity to.

Van Gaal was the first to bring a major trophy back to Old Trafford, with the FA Cup in 2016. He was fired two days later, just when things appeared to be improving.
Mourinho's tenure was also laden with silverware, including the Europa League and League Cup. But he, too, was shown the exit door somewhat prematurely, and Solskjaer began his trophy-less tenure.

Ten Hag, the most recent man to be eliminated, also had two domestic championships to his name. But, just a few months after signing a contract extension in the summer, he was also fired after the team's poor start to the season.

Now, with Amorim as the next on what appears to be a coaching

Moyes is optimistic, admitting that the squad the Portuguese will inherit is filled with talent and eagerness.
