Prophet Nigel Gaisie Vows to Influence 2024 Elections Against NPP
Prophet Nigel Gaisie, leader of the Prophetic Hill Church, recently declared that he is committed to using his influence to sway the 2024 elections against Ghana's ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP). In a candid interview on Hitz FM, Gaisie expressed deep dissatisfaction with the NPP’s governance, citing grievances that he believes have impacted both the church and the nation.
During his conversation with the show’s host, Gaisie described his stance as a personal mission. “I’m actively praying for the NPP to lose the election. They’ve caused pain to the church and to Ghanaians. They need to be held accountable,” he said. Gaisie, known for his political prophecies, disclosed that he conducts daily prayers specifically aimed at an electoral defeat for the NPP, symbolically using the party’s flag during his sessions.
Aligning himself with former president John Dramani Mahama, the candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Gaisie expressed confidence in Mahama’s potential to secure a victory. He is hopeful that the NDC will prevail, allowing a shift in leadership he sees as critical for Ghana’s future.
In the interview, Gaisie also reflected on the nature of prophecy, noting that it is inherently fallible. "I don’t always get my prophecies right," he acknowledged. “Every prophet who claims to be 100% accurate is misleading. Sometimes, God allows us to make mistakes as a reminder of our humanity.” He explained that the prophetic calling requires heightened focus and emotional balance, as even the slightest disruption can influence his interpretations.
Gaisie emphasized that, while he is deeply committed to his spiritual duties, he remains grounded by the limitations of human perception. His transparency about the unpredictability of prophecy and his self-reflection on its challenges shed light on the complex responsibilities faced by religious leaders who step into the public sphere.
The pastor's statements have ignited discussions around the role of faith leaders in political affairs, with Gaisie’s open endorsement of Mahama sparking varied reactions among his followers and the general public. His message reflects his conviction in influencing change but also acknowledges the broader discourse on the place of spirituality in political matters.
