OPINION POLLS: Whose Going To Be Ghana's Next President, See latest Percentage Analysis, Details

There is an increasing disapproval on the part of Ghanaian voters towards the performance of President Nana Akufo-Addo, per the latest poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics.

A meager 28% approve of the manner he is handling his job, while 65% disapprove. That shows a decrease in the approval percentage rating of the president for this week compared to other weeks and spells the rise of gross disappointment in him.

This suggests that, excluding the supporters of the ruling party, nearly all other political affiliations disapprove of the president's leadership.

On regional perceptions, the survey shows varied sentiments across the country-in the Ashanti region, a known NPP stronghold, 54 percent of registered voters say they approve of the job Akufo-Addo is doing, while 38 percent express disapproval.

In the Northeast, the same dynamic occurs: 50% of those asked give their approval against 35%. These two regions appear to be in relative endorsement of the president's efforts.

By contrast, the Central region presents a different picture, with 55 percent of all voters expressing disapproval, and just 37 percent approving of the president's performance. The Western region records an even higher disapproval at 61 percent, with a correspondent dissatisfaction with the president's performance and 33 percent approving.

The Greater Accra region has recorded the highest disapproval rating: it presents a sharp contrast in that 68 percent of all respondents expressed dissatisfaction with his performance, while only 29 percent were satisfied with it.

The striking revelation of this poll is that 62% feel Ghana is heading in the wrong direction under the present administration. Just 27% think the country is headed in the right direction, while the remaining 11% are undecided or have no opinion.

This perception would therefore show that a sizeable number of the population are skeptic about what happens to the nation's future.
