ASANTE KOTOKO SET TO SIGN FORMER DEFENDER, IMORO IBRAHIM

Rumors have it that former Kumasi Asante Kotoko stalwart, Imoro Ibrahim, may be poised to make a sensational return to the club. Ibrahim, who plied his trade with Al Hilal in Sudan, has been linked with a move back to his former employers Asante Kotoko.

The speculation surrounding Ibrahim's potential return has gained traction due to Asante Kotoko's pressing need for a left-back. With only one recognized left-back, Patrick Asiedu, in the squad, the club's hierarchy is keenly aware of the importance of bolstering their defensive options.

However, a special dispensation clause in the league's regulations allows clubs to sign players who have previously played in the league, provided they meet specific criteria.

This loophole could pave the way for Ibrahim's return to Asante Kotoko. With his prior experience in the Ghana Premier League, Ibrahim would be eligible to join the club outside of the regular transfer window.

While nothing has been officially confirmed, sources close to the club suggest that Ibrahim's return is a distinct possibility. If the rumors are true, Asante Kotoko fans will be eager to welcome back a familiar face back to where he made his name and had many loved ones.

Ibrahim's potential return would not only address the club's left-back conundrum but also bring a wealth of experience and leadership to the squad. Having previously donned the Asante Kotoko jersey, Ibrahim is well-versed in the club's culture and expectations.

As the January transfer window approaches, Asante Kotoko's supporters will be watching with bated breath to see if the rumors surrounding Ibrahim's return come to fruition. If the deal materializes, it could prove to be a good move by the club, potentially bolstering their chances of success in the Ghana Premier League.

Only time will tell if Imoro Ibrahim will indeed make a triumphant return to Asante Kotoko. One thing is certain, however.

As the saying goes once a porcupine always a porcupine, the lad would be happy to return, as he left in high spirit and no blemish.
