At 39 years old, LeBron James continues to play at an incredibly high level.
The 20-time All-Star led the Lakers to another win on Wednesday night, totaling 35 points, 14 assists and 12 rebounds to complete his third straight triple-double.
While the Lakers improved to 7-4 amid their three-game winning streak, the bigger story from the night is James' final stat line, as he did something against the Grizzlies that no one has ever done before at his age.

In all three of these games, James led the team in assists, a sign of the kind of role he is taking for the Lakers this year.

This triple-doubles streak is also tied for the longest of his 22-year career, which he's done three times before. triple-double, James became the oldest player in NBA history to record three triple-doubles in a row, surpassing himself from five years ago.
While 24.3 points per game would be the second-lowest of James' career, his 9.4 assists per game would be his highest since his second season with the Lakers when he led the league in assists.
Additionally, James is making a career-high 45.9 percent of his 3-pointers while taking 5.5 per game.
