After the 4 goals thrashing Niger gave to Sudan, the black Stars had just one job to do by winning in Angola to build up the momentum and hope the same happens in the next game.
Coach Otto Addo started with Abdul Manaf Nurudeen as goalkeeper, Alidu Seidu and Razak Simpson at centre back with Gideon Mensah at left back and Kingsley Schindler at right back. The coach played a midfield of Elisha Owusu, Ibrahim Sulemana and Kudus Mohammed sitting in front of them.
The attack had Michael Baidoo and Fatawu Isahaku in the flanks and Jordan Ayew as the false nine.
When the game started all you could see was determination to do something for the motherland. Even though the opposition started well, the stars had an upper hand over them. Any time Ghana had the ball their only best was to foul them.
Once again in the second half a black stars player closer to the box of the Angolans, captain for the day Jordan Ayew stepped up and beautifully converted the free kick to put Ghana in the lead.
This brought some sort of pressure on Ghana which resulted in a penalty in the 28th minute, but it was wonderfully saved by Manaf Nurudeen who was playing for Ghana for the first time after a very long time. The Black
Stars where luck with this particular one.
Unfortunately Abdul Fatawu Isahaku was carded in the 45th minute.
Fatawu Isahaku was substituted in the second half because of an injury he picked in the first half.
Even though Ghana had a goal the host dominated them in all angles from conner kicks which they had 5 to zero of Ghana and four shots with three on target and a ball possession of 63% to the 37 of Ghana.
Total dominance it was.
When play resumed in the second half the Angolans were desperate for an equaliser and they had it in the 64th minute through Zini.
These have broken hearts of Ghanaians, as Ghana would not be represented in the African cup of Nations for the first time in twenty one years,
