In today's world, genuine "Guardians Angels' are a rare to find, despite the presence of many kind-hearted people. These guardians angels are individuals who "pops-in" in the times of need to provide the lucky with selfless support, guidance and care.
Individuals, referred to as Guardians Angels do not only appear in our lives in times of need, but also lives historic marks in our hearts. These historic marks have profound and lasting impact on our life... shaping our future and inspiring positive change. This may be through various heart-touching acts, including Providing Unconditional Support; where a person feels loved, valued, and accepted.
Ghana, is among the few countries in the world, very lucky to have some of such good-hearted individual. One of then is Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, a brother to John Dramani Mahama (Former President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress -NDC).
Ibrahim Mahama is a Ghanaian businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. Beside these part of him, he is often considered a humanitarian.
His philanthropic efforts extends to Education, Healthcare, Disaster Relief, Community Development etc.
Over the years, Ibrahim Mahama has supported various educational initiatives, including scholarships and infrastructure development. He has donated to healthcare facilities and supported medical researches.
In terms of disaster, Mr. Mahama provides aid during natural disasters, such as floods and fires; and has in numerous occasions invested in community projects, including water and sanitation facilities etc..
Ghanaians recently witnessed one of his timely interventions through his support for the flood affected people in Mepe in the Volta Region. At Mepe, Mr. Mahama commenced the dredging and re-channeling of stagnant water from the floods; this involves the construction of new roads in the Mepe RC-St. Kizito enclave which was terribly damaged by the floods. Mr. Mahama again donated many relief items to support about 20,000 homes affected by the floods.
In his latest act of kindness, Ibrahim Mahama has touched the life of Rosemary Boadu, a 13-year-old girl struggling with the third stage of a kidney disease. After learning about Rosemary’s dire situation through a JoyNews feature, “Dialysis at 13,” Mr. Mahama promptly covered the full $25,000 cost needed for a life-saving kidney transplant.
According to the special aid to Ibrahim Mahama, Rafik Mahama during a visit the 13-year-old girl , “As soon as Mr. Mahama saw the JoyNews feature (Dialysis at 13) video, he immediately instructed us to proceed with the payment to enable her treatment”.
Thanks to Mr. Mahama’s kindness, Rosemary’s family can now focus on her recovery, rather than worrying about the financial strain of the procedure. This generous donation brings renewed hope for Rosemary and her family as they prepare for her much-needed transplant.
Beside the $25,000 donation for Rosemary Boadu' surgery, Ibrahim Mahama’s team again paid a visit to Rosemary Boadu, and presented an extra GHS20k her family to support their upkeep ahead of the medical procedure.
The visit by Mahama's team marks a significant step in the little girl's s journey to recovery as she prepares for her pre-transplant workup scheduled for Thursday, November 22, 2024.
Individuals like Mr. Ibrahim Mahama are examples of a real life "guardian angel", who needs to be celebrated for restoring health and well-being; reviving hope, transforming the child's future, Bringing joy and relief to the family, and in a long term creating a lasting positive legacy in the little girl's life.
