Alan Kyerematen, leader of the Afrafranto Alliance and presidential candidate of the Movement for Change, has called on Ghanaians to reject political propaganda from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and vote decisively for transformative leadership. Speaking in interviews on Oyerpa TV and Ezra TV in Kumasi on November 18, 2024, Kyerematen emphasized the need for a new direction, asserting that both major political parties have failed to deliver meaningful progress over decades of governance.

Kyerematen highlighted that recent polls indicate that 80% of Ghanaians desire change. He urged voters to resist claims that a vote for him would be wasted, describing such narratives as deliberate attempts by his opponents to undermine his credibility. "They know I have the plan and integrity to fix Ghana’s economy," he stated, adding, "If everyone who wants change votes for me, there is no doubt I will win."

The former Minister of Trade and Industry outlined his vision to lead Ghana out of economic stagnation, which he attributed to the combined 32 years of leadership under the NDC and NPP. "The cumulative effect of their governance is the economic challenges we face today," he said. Kyerematen criticized both parties for their inability to propose fresh solutions, adding that their focus on accusations of corruption underscores their lack of viable policies.

Drawing on his extensive experience, Kyerematen underscored his contributions to economic development, particularly during his tenure at Empretec and Enterprise Africa. He noted that his initiatives have supported the establishment of many leading Ghanaian companies that continue to provide employment for thousands of citizens. This track record, he argued, makes him uniquely qualified to address unemployment and stimulate economic growth.

Kyerematen also presented his Great Transformational Plan (GTP), a policy framework designed to revitalize key sectors such as agriculture, industry, and tourism. He emphasized the importance of macroeconomic stability as a foundation for sustainable development, promising that his administration would prioritize job creation to restore hope among the youth. "Our country’s future depends on creating opportunities for the next generation," he affirmed.

Addressing the issue of corruption, Kyerematen expressed disappointment at the lack of substantive measures from the NDC and NPP to combat the problem. "Instead of proposing solutions, they are preoccupied with accusing each other of being more corrupt," he observed. He proposed a government of national unity to ensure transparency and inclusivity in tackling national challenges.

Kyerematen reassured voters of his integrity, stating, "I have never been corrupt, and I will never be corrupt. Ghanaians deserve a leader they can trust, and I have proven my commitment to ethical leadership throughout my career." This statement resonated strongly with viewers and social media users, many of whom praised his vision and character.

In his concluding remarks, Kyerematen appealed to Ghanaians to rise above partisan politics and focus on electing a leader who can deliver tangible results. "This election is a turning point for our nation. Ignore the propaganda and vote for the future you deserve. Together, we can transform Ghana and bring prosperity to every family," he said.

The Movement for Change leader’s interviews have sparked widespread discussion, with many citizens expressing renewed optimism about the possibility of a better future under his leadership. Kyerematen’s message of hope and unity continues to gain traction, positioning him as a formidable contender in the upcoming elections.
