Deion Sanders and Rossi Diaz are bringing their respective expertise to set for Tubi’s We Got Time Today. The series, premiering on Tuesday (Nov. 19) aims to cover news, culture, entertainment, and sports with dynamic discussion, intimate interviews, and celebrity guests.
“Individually, he is an amazing personality and character and we all know Deon’s a superstar,” detailed Diaz to VIBE on a Zoom video chat. “So he has his opinions and the way he thinks, but also I respectfully have my opinion and the way I think. We’re two alpha people, and so the conversation gets fun. Our opinions don’t always match, but this is the best literally of both worlds of entertainment and sports and whatever you could think of.”
Sanders added, “I see that she comes in to challenge my thought process, but not in a derogatory type of way. In a very intelligent but challenging type of way, which I admire and adore because I don’t know everything and sometimes I need to sit back and think about it that way because we’re all shaped by our life experiences and our trials and tribulations. That’s why we form the opinions we form. And people need to hear that.”

We Got Time Today aims to purposefully stand out from a media landscape with voices amplified from not only traditional news and media outlets but also podcasts, live streams, and social media influencers by being authentic and informed. Standing on their decades of experience and mutual respect for one another in their respective and cross-over lanes, both hosts set out to expand their territory with intent.
“Everybody that’s on ain’t trying to educate and inform and enhance,” explained the Colorado Buffaloes football head coach. “They just want to be seen. We’re comfortable at our age and stage of life, [and with] who we are, what we are, how we got there, and where we going. Our goal is to uplift you.”
His cohost echoed the mission behind the series chiming in, “And then not only that, but, and like he said, not everybody that has a mic needs to be talking. And respectfully, everybody who wants [to have] an opinion and if your endeavor is to go out there [and] do your podcast, by all means, do it. But you also in a sense want a reliable source or a familiar face that you give a little bit more credit to. D and I bring that.”
Tubi
The weekly series is executive produced by Sanders and Jesse Collins Entertainment’s Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, Madison Merritt, and Elaine Metaxas. SMAC Entertainment spearheaded the deal on behalf of Sanders with Sam Harowitz, Senior Vice President of Tubi’s Content Acquisitions and Partnerships team.
“At Tubi, we’re committed to delivering engaging content that resonates with viewers by reflecting the diversity of our audience,” detailed Adam Lewinson, Chief Content Officer at Tubi in a statement. “We Got Time Today rejuvenates the traditional talk show format with a loose energy that showcases Deion’s dynamic personality along with his stellar chemistry with Rocsi. This mix of real talk with the pulse of pop culture is very much on brand for Tubi and we expect it will surely spark conversation.”
“We have an amazing team behind us too, with Tubi and Jesse Collins,” Diaz elaborated. “You got to give credit where credit is due.”

The former 106 & Park host reiterated that while she’s not yet an “auntie,” viewers can expect to “see your favorite uncle and your favorite cousin on TV.”
“And the one thing that you know, the truth will be told, not sold. And I promise you that and we’re going to give it to you straight gas, no chaser. We going to give it to you that way because that’s the only way we know how. We’re not worried about your feelings and your disposition. We are going to try to just give it to you the way you can handle it and the way you can absorb it to help you get to the next level,” exclaimed Coach Prime.
