Prophet Azuka, the founder and leader of Shining Grace Chapel International, has made bold spiritual declarations about the upcoming 2024 presidential elections. According to the controversial prophet, he will go to extraordinary lengths, including invoking the forces of nature and even animals, to secure victory for New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over his rival, former President John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking in an interview with Sokoohemaa Kukua on *Rainbow Radio 87.5FM*, Prophet Azuka acknowledged the spiritual significance of the numbers drawn by both candidates in the ballot. While he conceded that the number eight, picked by Mahama, carries great spiritual weight, he confidently declared that Mahama would not win the election. “The number 8 is strong, but I will do everything possible to place Bawumia on the presidential seat,” he asserted.

Invoking the Unimaginable

The prophet revealed his intentions to summon unconventional forces to influence the election's outcome. “I will invoke prayers, and goats, sheep, wind, and water will vote in the elections to ensure that Bawumia is elected,” he claimed. These assertions have drawn mixed reactions from listeners, with some questioning his methods and others expressing curiosity about his faith’s impact on the political landscape.

Azuka further explained that Mahama’s political struggles stem from his decision to boycott a previous Independence Day celebration. According to the prophet, a spiritual seat reserved for Mahama at the event remains unoccupied, symbolizing his inability to reclaim the presidency. “Because he refused to attend, he has been blocked in the spiritual realm from ever being elected as president,” he stated.

Countering Other Prophecies

Prophet Azuka took a swipe at other spiritual leaders, particularly those who have prophesied victory for Mahama. “The prophets in Accra have claimed that Mahama has already won the elections, but I will prove them wrong. He will no longer be elected president,” Azuka said, doubling down on his pledge to secure Bawumia's win.

Spiritual Politics and Public Reactions

The prophet's remarks add to the ongoing debate about the role of religious leaders in Ghana's political space. While some see Azuka’s comments as theatrics, others view them as a reflection of the intertwined nature of religion and politics in the country.

As the 2024 elections draw closer, Ghanaians continue to grapple with a barrage of spiritual declarations and political promises. Whether Prophet Azuka’s unorthodox methods will play a role in determining the outcome remains to be seen. One thing, however, is clear—both candidates have their share of spiritual and earthly battles to fight.
