BAD NEWS: ASANTE KOTOKO DROP ON THE GPL TABLE

After starting the league very well with performances that many didn't really enjoy, even though the wins were by only one goals it gave Asante Kotoko 3 points at the end. 


Everything about that first few games have changed and seen a drastic drop in the standings of the club that was high flying in the early days of the league season. 


It looks shaky because if they keep on dropping points they may be going down and down and down. We wish them all the best, so that they turn things around very fast. 







Dr. Charles Osei  Celebrates Jerry Afriyie's Debut Goal for Ghana Black Stars.


Dr. Charles Osei Antoh, Chairman of the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association, expressed immense pride and joy following the remarkable debut of Jerry Afriyie for the Ghana Black Stars. Afriyie, who was recently crowned as the player of the tournament and also, emerged as the top scorer in the WAFU Zone B Under-20 Championship in Togo, marked his first appearance for the senior national team with a goal as a substitute.


The 18-year-old forward currently plays for Thoughts FC, a Division Two club under the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association. In an interview after the match, Dr. Osei Antoh commended Afriyie’s achievement, noting the significance of a player from a Division Two club reaching such a milestone with the Black Stars. He also commended the technical and management teams of the Black Stars for the opportunity given to such a young local talent.


"We are incredibly proud of Jerry. To have a player from a Division Two club in our region, represent Ghana at the senior level and score on his debut is an outstanding achievement," Dr. Osei Antoh said. "This is a testament to the talent that exists in our lower divisions, and we are grateful to see one of our own make such an impact on the national stage."


Dr. Osei Antoh also wished Jerry Afriyie continued success in his football career, expressing hope that the young striker’s future will be filled with further accomplishments, both for the national team and in his club career.


"We wish him all the best, and we are watching keenly to see where this will take him. This is just the beginning, and we have no doubt that he has a bright future andhead," he added.
