Bono East National Democratic Congress (NDC) condemns Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng's actions against President John Mahama.

In a strongly worded statement, the Bono East Regional Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Muhammed Mustapha, has condemned Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, also known as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, for allegedly attempting to mislead the people of Techiman with disparaging remarks about the NDC’s 2024 Presidential Candidate, former President John  Mahama.

Rev. Boateng, a prominent figure among the clergy, is reported to have criticized John Mahama during his recent visit to Techiman, suggesting that the former president lacks Christian virtues and therefore should not receive public support in the upcoming election.

Muhammed- Mustapha denounced Rev. Boateng’s statements, describing them as “lies and deceit,” aimed at influencing voters by questioning John Mahama’s religious integrity.

“We unequivocally denounce Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng’s unscrupulous behaviour, as he sought to undermine the integrity and character of John Mahama,” Muhamaded-Mustapha stated, calling the reverend’s remarks a “clear act of desperation” and an attempt to manipulate voters on religious grounds.

The Bono East Regional Communications Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has condemned Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, also known as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, for spreading lies and deceit about President John  Mahama.

In a statement read by the Bono East Regional communications officer, Mustapha Muhammed, said, Rev. Boateng, who has been implicated in criminal activities, including holding dual identities and squandering over 2.5 million Ghana cedis related to the National Cathedral project, recently visited Techiman, attempted to deceive the regional clergy by spreading false information about John Dramani Mahama.

The deceit, according to the statement was that, John Mahama is not a good Christian and therefore unworthy of people's votes.

The NDC urges Ghanaians to see through Rev. Boateng's actions, which are motivated by desperation and deceit. They emphasized that Rev. Boateng's actions are a calculated attempt to mislead and undermine the integrity and character of John Mahama through religious politics.

The NDC called on Ghanaians to stand firm with the truth and reject Rev. Boateng's deceitful claims. They also urged citizens to vote for John Mahama, who embodies the values of honesty, compassion, and integrity.

He also voiced the readiness of Ghanaians to support John Mahama, asserting that Mahama’s leadership is trustworthy, honest and reliable.

The NDC's statement also highlighted the party's plans for the future, including conducting a forensic audit and inquiry into the National Cathedral scandal and prioritizing value for money services, focusing on transparency, cost efficiency, and sustainable development practices.
