Mikel Arteta is aiming to revive Arsenal's season as his side return from the international break.
The Gunners signed off for the November window with a 1-1 Premier League draw at rivals Chelsea and Arteta's charges are without a league win in their last four games.
That dip in form has seen concern continue to grow over their ability to challenge for the title in 2025 with Liverpool currently five points clear of second place Manchester City at the top of the table.
Arsenal have slipped to fourth with a nine-point gap opened up to Arne Slot's table toppers.
The Gunners are also 12th in the UEFA Champions League's new league phase, after four games played, with the top eight sides eligible for an automatic place in the Round of 16 knockouts.
Arteta has work to do in the coming weeks and former Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has flagged up his concern over their ability to fight back.
"It's more disturbing for Arsenal (than Liverpool or City) because they're in fourth position, and they have a lot of disadvantages, being nine points behind Liverpool", as per quotes from Mega Dice.
"Arsenal are still in the race, but they will have to be practically perfect from now on. They can’t afford to drop any points. It’s frustrating to be nine points behind Liverpool after 11 games. Even though City are currently second, I still think they’re favourites."
Sagna's comments on Arsenal needing to hit a hot streak of results is expected to be echoed by Arteta as his team host Nottingham Forest on November 23.
Following that clash, Arsenal have nine more games before the end of 2024, including six on their EPL schedule.
