Ama Serwah Genfi, an American-Ghanaian musician and songwriter widely recognised as Amaarae, is ready to put up a performance at Coachella on April 13 and April 20, 2025.
Amaarae is known for her song "The Angels in Tibet" which was a hit in 2024, where she featured and performed at Denmark's Roskilde Festival and collaborated with Childish Gambino, an American rapper and actor on his Bando Stone & The New World album.
The Angels in Tibet star also joined Childish Gambino on his New World tour, where she became the first female Ghanaian musician to surpass one billion streams across all major music streaming platforms in July 2024.
In an Instagram post, Amaarae has been announced by Coachella as one of the star-studded lineups for the 2025 edition of the prestigious music festival, which fascinates a global audience. By accepting this offer, she is going to be the first Ghanaian artiste to have performed on this huge Coachella stage, marking her place in the history of music.

The 2025 edition of the Coachella Music Festival will be held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, from April 11 to April 20, 2025. Ticket presales have made arrangements to start on Friday, November 22, 2024.
Amaarae born Ama Serwah Genfi is known for her merging of pop, R&B, afrobeats, and alté, as well as her fluid rendition of gender and sexuality.
The star was born in the Bronx, New York to her parent Ama Bawuah her mother and Kwadwo Boateng Genfi her father and was raised between Atlanta, United States and Accra, Ghana. She is the first child of two children. She started to sing at a very young state and wrote her first song at the age of 13.
