Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says the New Patriotic Party will win a double victory in the coming elections in Ghana. He made this premonition during one of his recent campaign rallies, where he told his supporters that the New Patriotic Party would emerge victorious in both the parliamentary and presidential elections, pinning the party to readiness for the assumption of continued leadership and stewardship into the future.

The Vice-President, who is the NPP's presidential candidate for the 2024 election, sounded optimistic that the electorate would endorse the party's policies, particularly its economic initiatives and infrastructural projects, which he believes have significantly improved the country. He emphasized that the NPP's commitment to digital transformation, social welfare, and education would strike a chord with the electorates across all regions of Ghana.

"Our track record speaks for itself, and the people of Ghana know that we are the party that has kept our promises time after time. We are not begging them; we are showing them what our leadership is delivering. We will win the presidency and parliamentary seats," he told an ocean of eager party supporters.

This is in the wake of high competition in the 2024 election between the two major political parties: NPP and the National Democratic Congress, NDC, which has been preparing for a highly contested race. The NDC led by former President John Dramani Mahama is desperate to recapture power after losing the 2020 elections by a slim margin. However, Bawumia's remarks suggest confidence in the NPP’s ability to hold onto its presidential and parliamentary seats, citing the strong base of support from the youth and urban voters.

The elections, scheduled for December 2024, are expected to be a key moment in Ghana's democratic journey. Although it is yet to be seen if these predictions by Bawumia will indeed happen, this message of continued growth and stability with the NPP is really appealing to many of the party's most loyal followers. As the campaign heats up, all eyes will be on the upcoming electoral results.
