Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, the Global Chairman of Groupe Nduom, has pledged to recover all assets he alleges have been unlawfully taken from his business conglomerate. Speaking during his weekly Facebook broadcast on Wednesday, Dr. Nduom accused individuals in positions of power of exploiting their authority to seize assets belonging to the group.

One of the issues he highlighted was the alleged illegal acquisition of land purchased by Groupe Nduom. According to Dr. Nduom, a government official has appropriated the property and begun constructing on it. He promised to expose those involved in such actions in future broadcasts.

“These individuals know themselves, and I am here to tell them to stop,” Dr. Nduom asserted, emphasizing his determination to hold the perpetrators accountable.

This development is the latest in a series of challenges faced by Groupe Nduom, which operates in diverse sectors including banking, hospitality, and media. The conglomerate’s financial arm, GN Bank, had its license revoked by Ghana’s central bank in 2019, a move Dr. Nduom has consistently described as politically motivated. He has also accused some political figures of deliberately orchestrating the collapse of the bank, undermining the livelihoods of thousands of employees and customers who depended on its services.

Beyond these allegations, Dr. Nduom has been vocal about the need for justice and transparency in the business environment. He has called for reforms to protect businesses from arbitrary actions and ensure that all enterprises, regardless of their affiliations, operate under fair and consistent regulations.

The controversy surrounding Groupe Nduom underscores broader concerns about the relationship between politics and business in Ghana. Business leaders like Dr. Nduom argue that the politicization of economic decisions creates instability and undermines investor confidence. Critics, however, contend that regulatory actions, such as those affecting GN Bank, are necessary to ensure financial stability and accountability.

Despite these challenges, Dr. Nduom remains optimistic about Groupe Nduom’s resilience. He has assured stakeholders that the group will recover from its setbacks and continue to play a significant role in Ghana’s economy. His determination to reclaim seized assets signals a broader fight to restore the reputation and viability of his businesses.

Dr. Nduom’s outspoken stance on these issues serves as a rallying call for greater integrity in governance and business operations, highlighting the importance of safeguarding the rights of entrepreneurs in fostering economic growth.
