Efia Odo Finds Faith, Embraces Christ-Centered Life
Ghanaian socialite Efia Odo has announced a transformative shift in her life, declaring herself born again and committed to a Christ-centered path. Speaking openly on the Konnected Minds Podcast, she shared profound insights into her spiritual awakening, emphasizing her dedication to living intentionally and in alignment with her newfound faith.
“I was reading Proverbs before coming. I want to feed my soul with the spirit of God because the word of God is perfect," Efia remarked. "People were supposed to see who I was so they could see where I was going. Even though I am already at where I am going, I believe I am already there.”
Efia revealed that her prior pursuit of love and fulfillment through worldly desires has now been replaced by a deeper relationship with Christ. She reflected on this shift, noting, “All I have is God because we would lose our parents one day. The love I was seeking in the world, I find it in Christ, so I no longer seek and desire things of the world. What God has planned for me is different from what people think about me.”
Reflecting on her past, Efia explained that her actions were always driven by good intentions. She credits her journey for fostering resilience and leading her to her current faith. “Everything that I did was from good intentions. I believe I am a child of God and the light of the world, but I can’t believe in darkness. So, I did everything that I have done with good intentions; that is why I am boldly sitting where I am now,” she said.
The socialite also addressed how she copes with criticism and negative labels, such as being called a "slay queen." She shared her perspective on reframing such terms with positivity. “Everything is positive around me. You might see the word slay queen and have a negative feeling attached to it because that is how you operate. But I would see Slay Queen and look at it from a different perspective. I operate in positivity, so every word you would say to me, I operate it into positivity,” Efia explained.
Her declaration of faith has sparked mixed reactions among her followers, with many applauding her for prioritizing her spiritual journey. Efia insists her transformation represents a sincere commitment to living a life illuminated by faith and purpose.
