After series of poor and bad performances Kumasi Asante Kotoko gave a super performance in Dorma against two time Ghana premier league champions, Aduana football club which the club was only the second time the team had picked up a win from that venue all, under the guidance of prosper Narteh Ogum.
But this one came when the team was under pressure and looks like a turning point for them. In this game some outstanding performances where unveiled as two players from the Asante Kotoko squad made it in the team of the week. Both Justice Blay who captained the team and Mohammed Camara.
Camara who was unmatched in the goal against Aduana, after some disappointing outings against Kpando Hearts Of Lions, Nations football club and Bechem United rose up to the occasion and made save that surprised everyone. Big save in the first half protected the lead and also continued in the second half until Albert Amoah added the second goal in the second half. This made him the best shot stopper in the week twelve of the 2024 and 2025 Ghana Premier League season.
On the other hand Justice Blay made a statement for himself after a while, not many had seen him play as a defensive midfielder under coach Ogum, he stood resolute and had a great game that won him the man of the match award. Not only fans but football enthusiasts are calling for his permanent stay in his natural position as a DM that everyone has known him for not the centre back or a right wing back
