Former Asante Kotoko and Ghana midfielder Richard Mpong has found love and tied the knot in the United States of America.
The 34 year old, who also had stints with Medeama and Elmina Sharks, relocated to the United States a few years ago to begin life after opting to prematurely retire from football.
Mpong’s inspiring performance in 2012 got him a Black Stars call up and he even scored a goal on his debut against Chile in an international friendly match at the PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania, on 29 February 29, 2012.
He came on as a first half substitute to replace Sulley Muntari. He was few players who was part of the set of players who played under the late coach Michael Osei who passed away just last week.
As the trend has been when players or people get the opportunity they tend to move out of the country and seek new lives that would better themselves. This has ended Richard his dream as he has merged with his long time love. All we wish them is a blessed marriage full of all they desire and one filled with all the goodies in the journey of marriage.
Accra Great Olympics are conquering zone three at the moment as they are still unbeaten as at match day eight.
