Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has brushed aside rumors linking Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold to his team.

Ahead of Madrid’s Champions League showdown with Liverpool, Ancelotti refused to entertain questions about the right-back’s future.

"I'm sorry, but I cannot think about Alexander-Arnold. He is not my player," said Ancelotti when asked about the transfer talk.

The England defender, who has been recovering from a hamstring injury, is expected to sit out tonight’s match at Anfield.

Ancelotti used the moment to praise Liverpool and their supporters but didn’t hold back his affection for his former club, Everton.

"I have fond memories of Everton. I’m still an Evertonian!" he declared, adding that Liverpool remains a "fantastic club" with a rich history.

Real Madrid heads into the game with a depleted squad. Key players, including Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Eder Militao, are unavailable due to injuries.

Despite this, Ancelotti expressed confidence in young defender Raul Asencio, who is set to start.

The Italian manager acknowledged Liverpool’s strong start this season, admitting his side must fight hard to keep up.

"Liverpool has been exceptional so far. It will be an intense match between two historic clubs," he said.

As Madrid battles on multiple fronts, Ancelotti remains optimistic about his team’s prospects. "We hope to put up a good fight and be in the mix by the end of the season," he concluded.
