Asante Kotoko, the dominant team in the Ghana Premier League, has replaced James Kwesi Appiah as their new technical director with club veteran Malik Jabir.

Appiah will continue to be connected with the club as a member of the Interim Management Committee, while Jabir, a two-time CAF Champions League winner with the team, assumes the position.

The Porcupine Warriors announced the announcement in a statement on Wednesday.

In a statement, the club said, "We are excited to announce the appointment of club legend and two-time CAF Champions League winner, Malik Jabir, as the new technical director for the club."

James Kwesi Appiah, the coach who most recently served in that capacity, will continue to be a part of the club's management group. Malik, welcome.

Since August 2023, Appiah has been in charge of technical operations and player recruitment in the role of technical director.

He was instrumental in suggesting several Sudanese players to the team during his time there.

Appiah oversees Asante Kotoko while juggling his responsibilities as Sudan's national team's coach.
