Kwame Addo Kufuor Jr., the son of former Ghanaian Minister of Defence, Dr. Kwame Addo Kufuor, has reportedly passed away.

The sad news was shared by veteran Ghanaian music producer, Fred Kyei Mensah, also known as Freddyma in entertainment circles. In a Facebook post, Mensah expressed his sorrow over the death of his former classmate from Prempeh College.

Kwame Addo Kufuor Jr. was a well-respected figure in Ghana's mining and business sectors. He held notable leadership roles throughout his career, including serving as the President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines. Additionally, he was the President of the ECOWAS Federation of Chambers of Mines, showcasing his significant influence across West Africa. He also represented the Ghana Chamber of Mines on the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources Advisory Council, as well as the Private Enterprises Federation Council of Ghana.

In his professional career, Addo Kufuor Jr. held key positions at major companies such as Newmont Africa and AngloGold Ashanti. He served as Vice President of Corporate Affairs at AngloGold Ashanti West Africa Operations and Head of Finance, demonstrating his expertise in both corporate governance and financial management. His career was marked by his commitment to excellence in the mining industry.

Addo Kufuor Jr. was also highly regarded in the world of accounting. He was a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana, reflecting his academic and professional achievements.

As of now, there has been no official confirmation of his passing. Efforts by sunsetcrew  to contact the family for confirmation have yet to be successful. The news is still developing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
