Recently, some top leaders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have also been seen mistakenly endorsing John Dramani Mahama, instead of their own candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

It's worth noting that the NPP has been working to break the 8-year cycle of political party rule in Ghana. However, with recent events, it seems their chances of achieving this goal are dwindling.
