Joseph Tagoe, a former midfielder for Hearts of Oak, has talked candidly about the difficulties he encountered when switching from football to teaching.

After retiring, Tagoe, a former Hearts of Oak and Ebusua Dwarfs star, became a coach. He was allowed to manage James Town FC, a Division Two team in Ghana, after earning his License D certification. His early coaching career was anything but glamourous, though.

In an interview with Amansan TV, Joseph Tagoe disclosed that the club only paid him GH¢30 a week. "I completed a License D training course, and you must pay between GHS 6,000 and GHS 7,000 before you can advance to License C. My coaching squad only paid me GHS 30 each week. I am grateful for the small things in my life. I simply move on whenever I'm uncomfortable," he said.

"The football business in Ghana is not okay," Joseph Tagoe said, bemoaning the football coaching situation in Ghana. I feel like leaving football to become a coach is like jumping from a frying pan into a fire because of the people who reside there, including coaches with a lot of experience and a License A.

Recently, Joseph Tagoe told a funny story about pretending to be older to get a football contract in Egypt.

Some members of the GFA EXCO contended that Otto Addo was unfit to lead the Black Stars. Twum, Henry Asante

Some members of the Executive Council have questioned Otto Addo's competence as head coach of the Black Stars, according to Henry Asante-Twum, director of communications for the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

Otto Addo's failure to get Ghana into the AFCON for the first time in more than 20 years is the reason for the questions surrounding his future.

On November 20, 2024, Addo was brought before the Executive Council for an almost five-hour meeting during which he gave a thorough report on the team's terrible performance in the qualifiers.

According to Asante Twum, the council members couldn't agree on whether Addo should stay in his position.

Some members expressed their opinion that Otto Addo is not the best person to lead the squad to further heights.

"This includes the World Cup qualifiers and possibly future tournaments because he has a long-term contract," he told Joy FM. Some believed that, with the information he provided, we might assemble a capable group to collaborate with him, establish a new management group, and offer him all the assistance he needed to be successful.

"What's the point of playing six games if you can't win any of them?" one group said, "We must move on without him."
