Kwasi Appiah has been named the new Head of Sporting Affairs by Asante Kotoko as part of the ongoing club reorganization.

Prior to the appointment of club legend Malik Jabir as the new Technical Director, Appiah, the head coach of the Sudanese national team, served as the IMC's Technical Director.

Although he serves on the IMC as well, Dr. Prosper Ogum has been instructed to concentrate only on his responsibilities as head coach.

Jabir and Narteh Ogum will now report to Kwasi Appiah according to the club's new organizational structure.

Considering that Sudan is undergoing a civil war and all of its home games were played outside of the country, Kwasi Appiah just finished leading his country to the 2025 AFCON, defeating Ghana in the process.

With his suspension ending after Ghana's match against Sudan in the final international window of 2024, 1982 AFCON champion Appiah is also rejoining the Ghana Football Association Executive Council.

Asante Kotoko will play Future Stars in the MTN FA Cup Round of 64 on Sunday, December 1 at 15:00 GMT at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium after getting back to winning ways against Aduana Stars after four games without a victory. They will then host Hearts of Oak in the Matchday 13 games of the 2024–25 Ghana Premier League at Baba Yara Stadium.

Following the technical review meeting, GFA will continue to consult with stakeholders to determine Otto Addo's future.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has stated that additional stakeholder engagement would be held in order to determine Otto Addo's future.

After a technical review meeting with Otto Addo on Wednesday, November 27, this was announced on Friday.

After failing to lead the Black Stars to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, the 47-year-old met with the Football Association's Executive Council.

After six games with no wins, there were calls to fire the former assistant coach for Borussia Dortmund.

But after the meeting, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said in a statement that they would consult with more parties to decide Otto Addo's future. Addo was reappointed earlier this year in March on a three-year contract.

The Black Stars will not participate in the AFCON event, which will be held in Morocco next year, for the first time in twenty years after Ghana finished last in Group F with three draws and three losses in the qualifications.
