Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has openly expressed his admiration for fellow artiste Samini, referring to him as his best friend. In an interview on Kessben FM in Kumasi on November 25, the “Wash” hitmaker revealed his plans to gift Samini a “big” car in the future as a token of his gratitude and appreciation.

Shatta Wale disclosed that despite past efforts by some individuals to create animosity between them, his bond with Samini has grown stronger over the years. “The only person they started crashing my head with was Samini. They crashed Samini’s head with mine, and that’s how now Samini has become my best friend. I love him so much, and I owe him a whole lot in my life,” he said.

He expressed a deep desire to show his appreciation for Samini, stating, “I’m praying to God to bless me with more money so that on one of my birthdays, I can buy a big car for him.” Shatta Wale’s comments reflect a spirit of reconciliation and camaraderie within an industry often plagued by rivalry and division.

The dancehall artiste also took the opportunity to critique some practices within the music industry, where he claims individuals intentionally stir conflict between artistes for their own gain. Highlighting the issue, he remarked, “They clash our heads, and all those things went on and on to Stonebwoy and now even Black Sherif, who is out there doing well. They are trying to clash our heads, and the system is just looking at it.”

Shatta Wale called for a shift in the industry’s culture, emphasizing the need for unity among artistes to foster growth and collaboration. He applauded Black Sherif’s success but expressed concern over attempts to sow discord between him and the rising star, similar to what happened with his relationships with Samini and Stonebwoy in the past.

This heartfelt acknowledgment of Samini and his broader message about unity underscore Shatta Wale’s desire to move past rivalry and promote mutual support in Ghana’s music industry. His remarks have sparked conversations about how the industry can work towards fostering healthy competition and collaboration among its top stars.
