Ama Pomaa Boateng Presents 100 Computer Tablets to Basic Schools, Campaigns for Bawumia in Juaben


In a move to enhance education through digital inclusion, Ama Pomaa Boateng, Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaben, has donated 100 computer tablets to basic schools in her constituency. The presentation ceremony, held on November 29, 2024, was part of her efforts to improve access to educational resources and promote e-learning among pupils.

Speaking at the event, Ama Pomaa Boateng emphasized the importance of technology in modern education, stating, “Education is evolving, and it is critical that we equip our children with the tools needed to compete in today’s digital world. These tablets will not only enhance learning but also introduce pupils to the endless possibilities technology offers.”

The MP assured the community of her continuous support for educational development in Juaben. She also expressed her commitment to bridging the digital divide between rural and urban schools.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from teachers, pupils, and parents, who expressed their gratitude for the MP's generosity. Mrs. Sarah Osei, a headmistress of one of the beneficiary schools, commended the initiative, saying, “This donation is a game-changer for our pupils. It will make learning more engaging and interactive.”

Campaigns for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia

While addressing the gathering, Ama Pomaa Boateng took the opportunity to campaign for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagbearer for the 2024 elections. She highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s track record in digitization, emphasizing that his leadership would bring further technological advancements to the country.

“Dr. Bawumia has proven his competence through his efforts to digitize various sectors of the economy. Supporting his vision means supporting progress and innovation for Ghana,” she stated.

She urged constituents to vote massively for Dr. Bawumia, adding that his leadership would ensure continuity of the NPP’s development agenda.

The event concluded with a demonstration of how the tablets would be used, and a renewed sense of hope among constituents for a brighter future under the NPP’s leadership.

Ama Pomaa Boateng’s initiative has been lauded as a commendable step towards empowering the younger generation and fostering digital literacy in basic education.
