The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asante Akyem Central constituency, located in the Ashanti Region, recently held its final rally in preparation for the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections on December 7, 2024. The rally took the form of a health walk, which began at Ahenbronum and passed through the towns of Ahyiayem and Odumasi before culminating at the party's office in Konongo. This event was a significant mobilization effort by the NPP to engage and energize their supporters as they approach Election Day. The health walk was not only a physical display of unity but also an opportunity to reinforce the party’s presence and commitment to securing victory in the elections.

During the rally, Kwame Anyimadu, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate for the Asante Akyem Central constituency, took the opportunity to express his deep appreciation for the unwavering support and dedication shown by party members. He acknowledged their hard work over the years and encouraged them to keep their momentum going as they edge closer to the election date. Anyimadu emphasized the importance of maintaining this enthusiasm and commitment, reminding everyone of the critical role they play in ensuring the success of the NPP. His words were meant to strengthen the resolve of supporters and inspire continued effort throughout the final days leading up to the elections.

In addition to Anyimadu’s address, Honorable Robert Yaw Kwakye, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Asante Akyem Central, also addressed the crowd. Kwakye called for discipline and unity within the party, urging members to stay focused on their shared goal of a peaceful election process. He stressed the need for a cohesive approach in the final stretch of the campaign, emphasizing that a unified party would be key to securing victory at the polls. The Youth Organizer for the area, Andy Owusu, also spoke, highlighting the importance of engaging with first-time voters. Owusu urged party members to educate these new voters about the voting process, ensuring they are informed and ready to participate fully in the election. Asante Akyem Central has been a long-standing stronghold for the NPP, having consistently supported the party since the 1992 elections, and the NPP is confident that it will maintain its dominance in the constituency in the upcoming election.
