Davido says 5th album will be released in early 2025
Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Davido has announced plans to release his fifth studio album in early 2025. The revelation came during an interview on The Baller Alert Show, where the 32-year-old artist shared glimpses of what fans can expect. Although he refrained from divulging specific details such as the album's exact release date, title, or featured artists, Davido emphasized that the project would showcase a distinct African essence. My album will be coming out early next year. It will be a real African record, he teased.
The announcement has already sparked excitement among fans eager to see how Davido, known for his genre-defining sound, will further explore his African roots in his next musical venture. Following the success of his previous albums, including A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and Timeless (2023), the new album is expected to continue cementing his global influence.
In addition to his album plans, Davido disclosed an upcoming collaboration with Nigerian artists Odumodublvck and Chike. The track, titled Funds, is slated for release in the coming days. Davido praised Odumodublvck, referring to him as the biggest Nigerian rapper, and drew a comparison between Chike and American R&B artist Bryson Tiller, highlighting Chike’s appeal to female fans.
