Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has appealed to the security personnel, journalists, and health workers to vote for him during the upcoming general elections. During a week of engagement, Bawumia showed how critical these groups were in society and promised them that he would solve their concerns if given the mandate to lead the nation.

At a meeting with security personnel, Bawumia saluted them for their relentless efforts toward guaranteeing peace and stability in Ghana. "Our security forces are the backbone of this nation," he said. "Without their hard work, our country would not enjoy the peace and security we often take for granted. As President, I will continue to prioritize their welfare, improve their working conditions, and ensure that they have the necessary tools to perform their duties effectively."

Bawumia also directed his message to journalists, emphasizing the importance of press freedom and the media's role in promoting democracy. "Journalists are the pillars of our democracy; they hold us accountable and keep the public informed. I understand many of the challenges that many of you face, and my government will work to create an enabling environment where the media can flourish," he assured them. He also reaffirmed his commitment to the protection of journalists, ensuring that the media faces no undue harassment or censorship.

The Vice President did not leave health workers behind, who have been the backbone of Ghana's health system, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. "Our health workers have demonstrated extraordinary resilience and dedication. Under my leadership, the healthcare sector will receive more support in terms of equipment, better salaries, and improved working conditions," Bawumia assured. "I am committed to ensuring that health workers are well-supported and that their invaluable contribution is recognized and rewarded."

The appeal by Bawumia targets key groups that have been pivotal in the development of Ghana and are likely to play very influential roles in the coming elections. His utterances reflect a broader strategy to consolidate support among critical sectors of society as he seeks a second term for the ruling government.
