Shatta Wale Calls Samini His Best Friend, Plans to Gift Him a ‘Big’ Car
Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has expressed profound admiration for fellow artiste Samini, referring to him as his best friend. He revealed plans to buy Samini a luxurious car in the future as a token of appreciation for their enduring friendship.
Speaking during an interview on Kessben FM in Kumasi on November 25, the "Wash" hitmaker reflected on their relationship, emphasizing the deep bond they share despite past attempts to pit them against each other.
“The only person they started crashing my head with was Samini. They crashed Samini’s head with mine, and that’s how now Samini is my best friend because I love him so much. I owe him a whole lot of things in my life,” Shatta Wale stated.
He went on to express his heartfelt wish for financial blessings, saying, “I’m praying to God to bless me with more money so that on one of my birthdays, I can buy a big car for him.”
Shatta Wale also addressed what he perceives as a recurring issue in Ghana’s music industry—efforts by some stakeholders to create rivalries among artists for personal gain. He noted that this trend extends beyond his past feud with Samini to other artists, including Stonebwoy and Black Sherif.
“They clashed our heads, and all those things went on and on to Stonebwoy, and now even Black Sherif, who is out there doing well—they are trying to clash our heads, and the system is just looking at it,” he lamented.
For years, Shatta Wale and Samini were at the center of one of Ghana’s most intense musical rivalries, with both claiming the title of "Dancehall King." Their feud, marked by heated exchanges and diss tracks, divided fans and became a staple of the country’s entertainment scene.
However, the two icons have since reconciled, burying the hatchet and fostering a positive relationship. Their newfound camaraderie stands as a testament to growth and unity in the music industry.
Shatta Wale’s public declaration of love and respect for Samini, coupled with his gesture of planning to gift him a car, highlights a rare moment of mutual support and admiration in an industry often overshadowed by competition. The duo’s reconciliation serves as an example for other artists to focus on collaboration rather than conflict.
