Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the moment is at the verge of losing their deputy captain Justice Blay due to their inability to reach a common ground for his contract extension.
The experienced Blay who can play both in defence and midfield would leave a big gap in the team if he leaves at the moment. He has been rock solid in the clubs last two victories as he played in the midfield for the first time in many months under coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
The current issue is that he has agreed on the number of years he would play which is two years, but the only problem now is the monetary issue that is at hand in the contract proposal that was given to him. For now a counter proposal would be sent to him so that he doesn't leave when his contract runs out in the few days. The influential player who has really made many fans happy and also been love by most of them may have a very sad but understandable exit his extension also came with lots of controversies on he signing or not. It ended in him penning down a one year deal with the club. The former Medeama sporting club, and also a national team player would wait for an improved offer from the club he loves.
Prof. Turkson called for the digitalization of information from birth to death, championing the establishment of a data quality framework that identifies gaps in current data, the need for targeted healthcare strategies focused on age-specific risks, and the need to improve data accuracy to address leading causes of mortality in the Western Region.
The Vice Chancellor TTU, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, who also chaired the event, commended Prof. Turkson for his exemplary contributions to the academic community, particularly in the field of statistics, and expressed hope for more such lectures in the future.
Let all go out there and vote in peace for a better Ghana.
