Akufo-Addo: Bawumia is Well Prepared to Succeed Me
President Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming December 7 elections. Speaking at the final rally of the NPP on December 5 at the Legon Sports Stadium, the President emphasized that the election is crucial for the country’s future development.
Akufo-Addo highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s preparedness to succeed him, describing him as a capable leader equipped with the skills necessary to lead Ghana into the future, particularly in navigating the challenges of the 4th Industrial Revolution. He stressed that Bawumia’s understanding of the evolving global economy and technological advancements makes him the ideal candidate to lead the nation in the coming years.
“This election is about ensuring the continued progress and development of our country. Dr. Bawumia is well prepared to take over from me, and he has the expertise to guide us into the next phase of our growth,” President Akufo-Addo stated.
The President further called on voters to not only support Bawumia but also vote for the NPP’s 276 parliamentary candidates, who are all number one on the ballot. He emphasized that the party’s candidates are committed to the vision of progress and development and will work in tandem with Bawumia to achieve the country’s goals.
In his address, Akufo-Addo reiterated the importance of voting for a leader who understands the intricacies of the global technological landscape and has a clear, strategic plan to take the nation forward. “We are looking for someone who knows how to survive the 4th Industrial Revolution. We need a leader who has the ability to adapt and succeed in this rapidly changing world,” he added.
The rally, which drew thousands of party supporters, concluded with a call to action for all Ghanaians to cast their votes for the NPP in the upcoming election, ensuring that the country continues its path of growth and prosperity.
