LilWin Calls for Ministerial Role in Festivals After Election

Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, widely known as LilWin, has humorously declared his desire to secure a government position in the next administration, specifically as the Minister of Festivals. Speaking on Property FM with Amansan Krakye, LilWin expressed his aspiration to be Ghana’s first-ever Minister of Festivals, starting from January 7, 2025, following the December 7 general elections.

In his lighthearted remarks, LilWin joked, “Next year, all the festivities in Ghana, I’ll be the one to perform there,” highlighting his involvement in various public events across the country. He added with a laugh, “So I want to be appointed as the Minister of Festivals in 2025.” His comment was met with laughter and amusement from listeners, further emphasizing the playful nature of his suggestion.

LilWin went on to express curiosity about which political party will emerge victorious in the elections and secure the presidency, noting that his goal is to be appointed to the position by the winning party. “I’m just looking at which government will come next year after winning the December 7 elections so that I’ll get that position,” he said.

In a more direct appeal, the actor jokingly reached out to the leading presidential candidates, including business mogul Cheddar, former President John Dramani Mahama, and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. “Whoever wins the elections, be it Cheddar, Mahama, or Bawumia, should kindly do the needful and appoint me as the Minister for Afahye,” LilWin said, referring to the popular traditional festivals celebrated across Ghana.

His comments have added a humorous twist to the election season, capturing the attention of many Ghanaians as the country prepares to elect its next leaders. While his remarks were made in jest, they reflect LilWin’s larger-than-life personality and his ongoing connection to the cultural and entertainment landscape of Ghana. The actor, known for his comedic roles in the Kumawood film industry, continues to entertain fans both on and off the screen, and his playful campaign for a government position has sparked laughter and discussion across the nation.
