Water Shortages Continue to Affect Kasoa Residents

Water shortages have become a persistent issue in several neighborhoods in Kasoa, causing significant frustration among residents. Despite the efforts of local authorities, many areas still experience irregular or no water supply at all, especially during the dry season. The problem has worsened in recent months, leaving many families struggling to access clean water for daily use.

The lack of reliable water supply has affected homes, schools, and businesses. Residents, particularly in areas like Millennium City, Odupong, and New Market, have been forced to rely on alternative sources such as boreholes and water vendors, which are often expensive and sometimes unsafe. The situation has led to increased stress as people spend hours searching for water or waiting for delivery from private vendors.

For many, the water crisis has become a daily battle. "It's frustrating to wake up and find there's no water," said one resident. "We can't cook, clean, or even bathe properly without it." The inconvenience has become a source of concern for parents who have to ensure their children have access to water for basic hygiene and school needs.

Some residents believe that the water shortage is linked to the rapid urbanization of Kasoa. With the increasing population, the demand for water has exceeded the capacity of existing infrastructure. The local water authority, which has acknowledged the issue, has promised to undertake repairs and improvements to the supply system, but the process has been slow.

In addition, the lack of proper planning has made it difficult to extend the water supply to all areas. Many parts of Kasoa, particularly the rapidly developing neighborhoods, have been left behind in the expansion of infrastructure. Residents are now calling for more immediate action to ensure that every household has access to clean and reliable water.

Until the situation is resolved, residents will continue to face daily struggles. It is hoped that the local authorities will speed up efforts to provide a permanent solution to the ongoing water crisis.
