Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, has passionately endorsed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the most qualified candidate to lead Ghana into a future of growth and progress. Speaking at the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) final rally ahead of the December 7 elections, NAPO emphasized that voting for Dr. Bawumia is the key to securing Ghana’s future.

Addressing an energetic crowd at the University of Ghana Sports Park on December 5, NAPO expressed confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s readiness and capability to guide Ghana toward prosperity. He described him as a visionary leader who has proven his dedication to transforming the nation.

“Bawumia is the only one prepared for the future; vote for him,” NAPO declared. “The Heavens must answer. December 7 is the future of Ghana, it’s your future, it’s our future.” His remarks resonated with the audience, many of whom cheered and waved NPP flags, signaling their agreement.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh further elaborated on the need for continuity in governance, stating that Dr. Bawumia represents the best chance for the nation to build on the gains achieved under the NPP. He urged voters to consider the progress made in areas such as digital transformation, education, and healthcare, which he attributed to the party’s commitment to innovation and development.

In a show of unwavering support, the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, also took the stage to vouch for her husband’s integrity, work ethic, and dedication to the country. Speaking at the rally in Accra, Samira gave a heartfelt account of Dr. Bawumia’s tireless efforts to improve the lives of Ghanaians.

“I know him very, very well. I have watched him work hard day and night, seven days a week, from morning till night,” she said. Her words drew loud applause from the crowd, who chanted Dr. Bawumia’s name in response.

Samira Bawumia went on to assure voters that her husband would not let them down if elected as president. “This man will apply himself. This man will not let you down. Dr. Bawumia means what he says and he says what he means. He will do right by the people of this country,” she stated, her voice filled with conviction.

The rally, which marked the climax of the NPP’s campaign activities, was a vibrant display of party unity and determination. Supporters from all walks of life gathered to show their enthusiasm for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP’s vision for Ghana. Many held banners and placards bearing slogans that highlighted the party’s achievements and campaign promises.

As the crowd listened attentively, speakers took turns to outline the stakes of the upcoming election. They emphasized that a vote for Dr. Bawumia was a vote for progress, stability, and a brighter future. NAPO and other party leaders highlighted the risks of reversing the gains made under the NPP, cautioning against what they described as a return to policies of the past.

The Second Lady also used her platform to connect with the audience on a personal level, sharing stories of Dr. Bawumia’s unwavering commitment to serving the nation. She painted a picture of a leader who is not only capable but also deeply invested in the well-being of every Ghanaian.

The rally was a culmination of weeks of intense campaigning by the NPP, which has consistently positioned Dr. Bawumia as the candidate of choice for forward-thinking voters. The party has touted his record as Vice President, particularly his role in spearheading digital initiatives such as the Ghana Card, mobile money interoperability, and the digitization of government services.

As the election date draws closer, the NPP is banking on Dr. Bawumia’s reputation as a problem-solver and visionary leader to win over undecided voters. Party members have expressed optimism about their chances, pointing to the enthusiastic turnout at rallies and the positive reception of their campaign message.

Dr. Bawumia himself has maintained a confident tone throughout the campaign, reiterating his commitment to leading Ghana into a new era of development. His message has resonated with many voters, particularly the youth, who see him as a leader with the innovative ideas needed to tackle the country’s challenges.

The December 7 elections are shaping up to be a defining moment for Ghana, with voters facing a choice between continuity and change. For supporters of the NPP, Dr. Bawumia represents the future—a leader capable of building on the party’s achievements and steering the nation toward greater heights.

As the rally came to a close, the energy and optimism in the air were palpable. Supporters sang, danced, and pledged their support for Dr. Bawumia, determined to make their voices heard at the polls.
