PARADISE SMILED ON PHILIS

Paradise smiled on PHILIS

Nana was a member of Fijai’s volleyball team and part of T-Menson House, the same house as mine. I admired him for his intelligence, his smartness, and how he consistently excelled as one of the best students in the school.

In 2010, after we completed secondary school, Nana sent me a friend request on Facebook, which I gladly accepted. Our friendship grew stronger when I got admitted to the University of Cape Coast (UCC). At the time, he was in his final year, but despite his busy schedule, he took a keen interest in my academics.

Nana was the ultimate study coach. He would draw my study timetable and ensure I followed it. “If you spend four hours rehearsing,” he would always remind me, “make sure you also dedicate four hours to studying.” His unwavering support and encouragement made a huge difference. My academic success became his priority, and he made sure I stayed motivated. Every time my CGPA improved, Nana celebrated me with ice cream, new books, and endless stories that kept me inspired.

Over the years, our friendship deepened. Nana became not just a friend but someone I could rely on for guidance and encouragement. His faith and patience were admirable, and he constantly reminded me to trust in God’s timing. For eight long years, he remained a constant presence in my life, always uplifting me and patiently waiting for me to see what had been clear to him all along.

Eventually, I realized that Nana was the kind of partner I had always prayed for—someone who genuinely cared for my growth, shared my values, and brought out the best in me. In 2018, after eight beautiful years of friendship, I finally said “Yes” to his proposal.

Today, as I reflect on our journey, I am filled with gratitude for this incredible man who believed in me, waited patiently, and showed me the true meaning of love and partnership. This is us—a testimony of faith, friendship, and God’s perfect timing.

always asked myself how it felt to be loved, love that knows no end and boundaries

Love that care like a mother

Nana, saying yes to you on Facebook is one of the best decisions of life and I can’t wait for PARADISE 24❤❤ together with our God.
