John Dramani Mahama is project to have won the 2024 Ghanaian general elections with more tha.n 55% of vote cast. The man himself has confirmed through his personal strong room and also by well resourced election observers. The former president is now set to take over the nation come January 7th to serve his second term after serving from 2013 to 2016.
We hope he brings more things on board to help Ghana
The ministry was bypassed, and sole sourcing became the order of the day, including setting up companies within days and awarding them millions of dollars worth of contracts.
Look at the National Cathedral. We broke several prime buildings, gave an architect several millions, lied to Ghanaians that it wouldn't be funded by the state, and ended up sinking almost a billion Ghana Cedis into a hole.
We had new houses for judges in the area. We demolished everything, first accommodating the judges in first-class hotel suites at a tune of over 5,000 Ghana Cedis a day until a permanent place was found for them.
I can go on and on. All I can say is, politicians will have every right to disrespect us for good if we overlook everything of the past eight years and give this government another chance—and we would very much deserve that disrespect.
I want change because, at all times, the people must demonstrate that their only avenue for holding public duty bearers accountable, when all other avenues fail, will be guarded with dignity.
My interest is in Ghana. I am not delusional to think that JM is an angel. I know he had his faults. I wrote more than 50 articles in newspapers criticizing JM alone, but today, he is the only real chance of change. At his worst, in several aspects representing moral decadence in leadership, he was notches better than Nana.
Bawumia is a fine man. He is going to be President one day.
