The popular online personality had previously claimed to have received a divine revelation from God, assuring her of the NPP presidential candidate's victory.
However, the results told a different story. On December 8, Dr. Bawumia reportedly called his major opponent, John Dramani Mahama, to concede defeat and congratulate him on his win. During his concession, Bawumia described Mahama’s victory as decisive and wished him well ahead of his swearing-in as president.

"I am a believer in God through Jesus Christ. Not even these results will shake me or make me lose faith in Him. Laugh now, my peace is in my soul, and no one can take it from me because Jesus Christ gave it to me.”
