"AJAGURAJAH REVEALS PLANS TO LEAVE GHANA BEFORE ELECTIONS AND THE REASON BEHIND IT"

Bishop Kwabena Asiamah, also known as Ajagurajah, has revealed an unexpected aspect of his religious group, the Ajagurajah Movement: neither he nor his followers participate in elections. In an interview with Smart Ghana on December 5, 2024, Ajagurajah explained that their decision to abstain from voting is based on a deeply held belief that God is the ultimate authority in choosing leaders.

"I've never voted in my life, and neither do my church members. We believe it is God who chooses who leads," Ajagurajah stated. Consistent with this belief, he further shared his plans to leave Ghana before the upcoming December 7 elections, returning only after the results are announced. This practice underscores the group's trust in God’s sovereignty over the nation's political affairs.

Ajagurajah emphasized that his movement places its faith in God's plan for the country, regardless of the election results. He made it clear that they believe political matters are ultimately in God's hands, and His will dictates who becomes the leader of the nation. His stance reflects a conviction that transcends human involvement in electoral processes.

The Bishop also commented on the various prophecies circulating around the elections. “Everyone is sharing their opinions,” he remarked, acknowledging the wave of predictions that have emerged ahead of the vote. While many people claim to know the outcome, Ajagurajah suggested he has a clear understanding of who is right and who will be disappointed. "I’ve told my children that I know who will cry someday," he said cryptically, without elaborating further on the identity of those involved.

Ajagurajah’s comments have generated significant interest, as his approach to politics and elections stands in stark contrast to the more typical involvement of religious leaders in national matters. His followers continue to maintain that political outcomes are in God’s hands, prioritizing spiritual matters over electoral processes. This belief reinforces their focus on faith, rather than on political engagement.
