In addition to the players, two coaches are under tremendous pressure to perform well in this Sunday, December 15, 2024, Super Clash between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.

Kotoko had a solid start to the season, winning four of their first seven games. However, they have subsequently dropped four straight games, dropping to seventh position with 18 points.

However, Hearts of Oak overcame two early losses to win three games in a row, moving them up to sixth place, just ahead of Kotoko.

Prosper Ogum has managed 80 games with Kotoko, winning 38, drawing 20, and losing 22. He guided the team to the 2024 Democracy Cup and the 2021–2022 Premier League title. Kotoko has scored 93 goals and given up 56 goals while he has been in charge.

After Martin Koopman left, Aboubakar Ouattara took over as manager of Hearts of Oak, and he immediately turned things around with three straight victories. He has managed 29 games, though, with 12 victories, 12 ties, and 10 defeats. His team has only managed to score 31 goals while giving up 25.

Kwasi Appiah suggests that John Mahama think about funding youth football for the future.

Kwesi Appiah, a member of the Ghana Football Association's (GFA) Executive Council, has urged John Dramani Mahama, the country's incoming president, to make investments in youth football for the future.

Following the conclusion of the general elections in 2024, the 66-year-old will take office on January 7, 2025, having received 56.55% of the vote.

Speaking in an interview, Appiah urged for a grassroots financial boost and welcomed the incoming president.

Appiah, who is currently Sudan's head coach, stated, "He should strive to spend in the developing level."

"We will eventually run out of future if we do not prioritize it and merely concentrate on the here and now.

That, in my opinion, is one of the country's present problems since we rely on what we already have rather than considering who we are creating to succeed us. We must concentrate on that and offer the required assistance," he continued.

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will take place in Morocco the following year, will not feature the Black Stars for the first time in 20 years.
