Rev. John Ntim Fordjour Retains Assin South Seat for Third Term
Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, the Member of Parliament for Assin South in the Central Region and Deputy Minister of Education has successfully retained his seat for a third term in the 9th Parliament of Ghana. The official declaration of his victory was made by the Electoral Commission following the December general election.
In his statement after the declaration, Rev. Fordjour called for unity among the people of Assin South, urging them to come together after the election to move the constituency forward. In the parliamentary election, Rev. Independent candidate Mr. Joseph Kofi Damtse came third with 10,332 votes. The total number of valid votes cast was 38,585, with 557 rejected ballots.

He is one of the four NPP candidates to have won their parliamentary seats in the region in the recent election.
