Former striker Kwame Opoku has returned to Asante Kotoko, subject to international transfer and medical clearance. Opoku signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the team.

The 27-year-old striker returns to the Porcupine Warriors after an incredible 2020–21 campaign in which he made just 16 appearances and recorded six goals and three assists.

He was transferred to USM Alger in Algeria and then to Olympique Khouribga in Morocco as a result of his exceptional performances.

Opoku will wear the number 31 shirt to boost Kotoko's assault.

As the team looks to contend for major titles this season and beyond, his comeback is viewed as a crucial boost to the roster, providing much-needed depth.

With only 10 goals in 12 league games this season, Kotoko has struggled with their attacking play.

Albert Amoah, their leading scorer, has six goals, and the team's performances have suffered as a result of his injury absence.

Opoku had been training with the team for a few weeks, but he was not able to formally return until the second transfer window opened and his registration as a new player was confirmed.

The return of Aristică Cioabă, a Romanian coach, to the Aduana Stars

After coming to Ghana for the open post, Romanian strategist Aristică Cioabă appears to be returning to the Ghanaian team Aduana Stars.

The 53-year-old, who guided the squad to four losses, six draws, and just two victories, is being considered for the top spot after proving to be a suitable successor to the fired Yaw Aceampong.

Additionally, our sources indicate that he has already been shortlisted by management, therefore he may sign a contract to become the Fire Boys' head coach in a few hours.

In 2011, Aristică debuted with Aduana Stars, replacing the late Herbert Addo. He played for the club for just one season.

Later, he returned before the 2015–16 season began and guided the team to a second-place finish in Ghana's premier division.

The former manager of Azam FC, who most recently coached Police FC of the Bangladesh Premier League, will be considered for the head coach position at the club due to his prior successful stints there.

The Aduana Stars have 12 points after 12 rounds of play, which puts them in 13th place on the league table.
