Aboubakar Ouattara, the coach of Hearts of Oak, has emphasized the need to earn as many points as possible in their forthcoming encounter with Asante Kotoko.
The Phobians are committed to preventing a rerun of the relegation struggle from the previous season.
The team is very motivated, according to Ouattara, especially after losing to Kotoko three times in the previous season.
"The incentive is high because we lost to Kotoko three times last season. In an interview with 3Sports, he said, "We need to capitalize on maximum points because we are playing a new season.
"Recalling that we made it through the previous season, we are aiming to score more points to avoid the same pressure. We have this motivation because we need more points to get out of that predicament."
Ouattara also emphasized the importance of the rivalry between Hearts and Kotoko, characterizing it as a battle between two civilizations.
"When we play, Hearts of Oak and Kotoko, it is two civilizations. Winning is the culture here. The victory is necessary for both teams. You are extremely passionate. You have a right or left, just as in a political party.
On Sunday, December 15, 2024, the eagerly awaited match will occur.

Ahead of the Vision FC cracker, Nebojsa Kapor welcomed the Medeama selection headache.
As the Yellow and Mauves get ready to play Vision FC, Medeama head coach Nebojsa Kapor is happy he has a difficult decision to make about his team's lineup.
With six victories and twenty-one points, Medeama is currently in fourth place in the Ghana Premier League after twelve rounds of play. Most recently, they defeated Young Apostles, a top-tier youth team, 2-0 in the matchday 12 match last month (November 24, 2024).
As Kapor prepares for the Vision FC match on Saturday in front of a packed house at Nii Adjei Kraku II Park in Tema Newtown, the Yellow and Mauves have returned their injured players to the squad. They hope to win three straight games.
"We have enough players, and we have both good players and good replacements right now. Every player knows that I have faith in them," Kapor remarked.
"The players who had the chance to participate in the MTN FA Cup game gave excellent performances. When choosing the roster, it gives me a good headache to have everyone available, even players from the national team and those who have an injury history."
