Aboubakar Ouattara has acknowledged that coaching Hearts of Oak is a great honor for him.

Halfway through the previous season, the Phobian Club announced the Ivorian manager as their new boss.

Despite the challenging period, Ouattara signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, and on the last day of the previous season, the seasoned coach guided the team to avoid relegation.

Ouattara stated that coaching one of the greatest clubs in the nation is a privilege, before their Super Clash matchup with rivals Asante Kotoko.

Since I coach one of the two teams, I believe I have this privilege. Though it is a privilege for me, he told MAX TV, "My guys are also very motivated and dedicated, and the motivation is my three points or get a point to bring home."

"Kotoko-Hearts of Oak…because of the supporters, because of the name, because of the history of the two teams, is big and we are going to deliver," Ouattara continued, underscoring the importance of the match.

Both sides have a lot on the line. Hearts of Oak has won four of their past five games and is still undefeated, whereas Asante Kotoko has only earned one victory in their last five games.

Football fans nationwide should expect an entertaining matchup when the highly anticipated match begins at 15:00 GMT on Sunday.
