When Asante Kotoko plays Hearts of Oak on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, head coach Prosper Ogum has voiced confidence in his team's preparedness.

Ogum is confident in his team's readiness for the pivotal match despite a difficult run in which Kotoko has only won once in their last six league games.

"The boys, technical staff, and everyone else have a really upbeat attitude at training. As Ogum told 3Sports, "We are really poised." We are playing the game tactically based on our observations of their play, particularly when they are playing away. The players are psychologically, tactically, and physically ready for Sunday's match.

Last season, Kotoko trounced Hearts, winning both league games and taking home the Democracy Cup in the preseason. Ogum did, however, stress how erratic the two competitors' confrontations might be.

"The dynamics are always different when you look at games between Kotoko and Hearts of Oak," he said.

Kotoko will try to overcome their recent bad play and continue to dominate in this intense rivalry, while Hearts of Oak are on a roll and have won three of their past four league games with a draw.

"I needed this so much," Ernest Nuamah said following his season-opening goal.

After scoring his first goal of the season in Olympique Lyon's exciting 3-2 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah expressed his pleasure and happiness.

After the game, the 21-year-old remarked, "I have been training hard for this and I needed it so much." Lyon won thanks to a goal from Nuamah in the 54th minute.

With just seven starts this season, Nuamah has struggled for playing time, but he is still hopeful that his efforts will lead to more chances on the field.

"I was out at the beginning of the season, then I came back into the squad," he said, reflecting on his experience. I am overjoyed and thrilled to have scored my first goal, and I intend to score more in the future.

There have been rumors that Nuamah could join the Premier League during the January transfer window after his transfer to Fulham fell through on deadline day.

His recent goal might increase his prospects of earning a more important position in the club.
