On United Showbiz, Manu visibly moved and knelt on the floor to emphasize the urgency of his plea. Speaking passionately about the economic challenges affecting the nation, he drew attention to the struggles of ordinary citizens.

“I am pleading with him,” he said, his voice filled with emotion. “Ghanaians are hungry. People are leaving the country, risking their lives by crossing through Libya, enduring unimaginable suffering along the way.”

Manu described the horrors faced by many, including trafficking, exploitation, and even forced prostitution. He shared a distressing experience from his trip to Kuwait, where he saw Ghanaians being thrown from tall buildings. “Yet here in Ghana, we have gold, cocoa, and countless other resources. We have everything we need to do better,” he lamented.

The actor called on Mahama to fulfil his campaign promises, including the 24-hour economy and the poultry initiative. “Please, make it work. Have mercy on the country,” he urged.

Manu also emphasized the importance of listening to constructive criticism and citizens' advice. “When we offer advice, I beg you to listen,” he added.

Manu’s heartfelt plea has ignited widespread conversation about Ghanaians' expectations for the new administration and the urgent need to tackle the country's most pressing issues.

Following his re-election, there has been clambering pressure on President-Elect John Dramani Mahama to carry through on his promises.

On Monday, December 9, 2024, Mrs. Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, officially declared John Dramani Mahama as the President-Elect of the Republic of Ghana, following the Presidential Election cleave on December 7, 2024. Mahama prevailed with 56.55% of the valid votes cast.

When Mrs Mensa was addressing the nation, the media, election observers, diplomatic representatives, and Commission staff, she stated, “It is my singular honour, as the Returning Officer of the 2024 Presidential Election, to declare His Excellency John Dramani Mahama as the winner of the 2024 Presidential Election and the President-Elect of the Republic of Ghana, with a total of 56.55% of the votes. Congratulations, Sir. It is finished!”
