The beautiful statue of Ghana's outgoing president, His Excellency The first man of the land President Nana Akufo Addo has been attacked. Unknown people have caused damage to the statue that came under lots of criticism when it was mounted at the roundabout some few months ago. The president unveiled it on his thank you tour when he stopped by in the western region. This is situated closer to the good old Efia Nkwata hospital. 

This particular monument came under the social attack because the road construction is being done in the area is not complete yet the president or some people had the nerve to put it up there in the roundabout. At some point it was being guarded by security personnel all because the people of Sekondi had made it a point to bring it down in the broad daylight. And one way or the other only two members of parliament of the ruling National Patriotic Party survive the wrath of the people. This show that the people indeed have power to say what they want and like with their thumbs on voting days. And the police have started investigating the issue. 

The leg part of the sculpture has been perforated and may get worse if care is not taken, either it taken down by officials for the construction to end or leave it there for further damages to happen to a statue that has not lived even six months at its post in the incompleted Effia Nkwata round about. It is now all about time before we see the next move of authorities to protect the statue as government is under transition and also checking the details of everything at the moment. It just a matter of who did it so that he or she or they would be brought to face the law. Because it is very bad to vandalize something that has been made in shape of the first man of your country. Any who was involved must be seen a questioned on why that was done.
