As Ghana prepares for the inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama, the nation's young people are eagerly awaiting the fulfillment of his campaign promises. Mahama's victory was largely fueled by the support of Ghana's youth, who have been struggling to find employment and make ends meet.
The Youth in Ghana really played a big role in John Dramani Mahama's victory. During the election campaign, many young Ghanaians bought into Mahama's message of hope and change, particularly his promise to create jobs and stimulate economic growth. These young people worked tirelessly to ensure Mahama's victory, protecting the ballot and preventing any attempts by the ruling NPP government to perpetuate illegalities.
Mahama's administration must recognize the critical role played by these young ones in his victory and prioritize their needs. This is not the time for old habits and cronyism (or to whom you know); instead, Mahama must focus on creating opportunities for young Ghanaians to thrive.
To put smiles on the faces of Ghana's youth, John Mahama and his NDC administration should focus on Job Creation. The new NDC government must implement policies that promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and job creation.
By prioritizing the needs of Ghana's youth, Mahama's administration can create a brighter future for all Ghanaians. As he himself has once said, "The promise of Africa is its people". It's time for Ghana to unleash its full potential and create opportunities for its young people to thrive.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) must acknowledge the underlying reasons behind their victory in the 2024 elections. Ghanaians were fed up with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, and their anger and hunger for change drove them to vote for the NDC.
This win is not just a victory for the NDC, but for every Ghanaian who invested time, energy, social media posts and other resources into making it happen.
All NDC appointees must conduct themselves with humility and integrity, avoiding any behavior that could be perceived as greed or arrogant; Greed and Arrogance are Unacceptable.
Appointees must prioritize transparency and accountability in their performance of duties, ensuring that they are answerable to the people who elected them... Transparency and Accountability are Essential.
The NDC must be aware that Ghanaians will be monitoring their actions closely, using social media, blogs, and other platforms to expose any wrongdoing...Ghanaians are Watching.
